The MSU Wesley Foundation (Methodist Student Center) is a place where believers can be encouraged to continue following Jesus Christ as their Savior & Lord; and, on a collegiate level, grow in the same ways that Jesus did: "in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men." (Luke 2:52)
The Methodist Student Center is also a place for those who do not know Jesus Christ - where they can come and explore in a safe environment who Jesus is, get to know His people, and hear how Jesus has made a difference in the lives of students who follow Him.
God used the Wesley Foundation to make a tremendous impact on my life while I was an undergraduate student @ Morehead State University. As a music education major, I was very busy with ensembles, class work, and the demand for personal practice time. Amidst all of this, the people at the Methodist Student Center were the ones who loved me enough to help keep me balanced and hold me accountable to "do all in the name of the Lord Jesus." (Colossians 3:17) The opportunities for worship, fellowship, discipleship, missions and evangelism helped me learn how to surrender my whole life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ - and I am STILL learning how to do that, even in my forties!
Now, as the new campus minister of the MSC, I look forward to working with students and seeing how the grace of God will do this same work in many different ways in the lives of our students - past and present.
I, my family (wife & three kids!) and the students from the Methodist Student Center want to offer ourselves as your servants and co-laborers with Christ, both on the campus and in the Morehead community. If we can help or minister to you in any way PLEASE do not hesitate to let us know. We are always glad to be a first connection between individuals and the university, as well as to have the privilege of welcoming those who are new to the commonwealth of Kentucky. We can help arrange visits to campus; support students in many ways while they are here; help them, by God's grace, to learn and grow; and send them out to make a difference in Jesus' name. Thanks for visiting this site; may the Lord continue to bless and keep you!
