The MSU Wesley Foundation, the Methodist Student Center, is a mission of the United Methodist Church. We are funded in part by the Kentucky Conference of the United Methodist Church. Approximately seventy-percent of our budgetary needs come from the churches in the Kentucky Conference through the conference apportionment system. Because of their participation in this system, most United Methodist Churches in the conference are partners in our mission on campus. As individual members give to their own churches, and their churches fulfill their commitment to the conference budget, they collectively support our ministry.
Gifts from individuals, families, alumni, local churches, and church groups provide the remaining thirty-percent of our financial need. Many individuals send us monthly gifts to help in our mission. Others send periodic gifts in response special requests and specific needs. Some local churches send us annual gifts while others give in response to a visit from our music and drama team. Two churches, Salem UMC in Pike County and Vanceburg UMC in Lewis County have been supporting us for years with monthly gifts. Thank you to all who have helped in some way to keep us moving forward in our ministry.
We never know how or through whom God is going to provide but He has been faithful. If you are interested in supporting this ministry financially, you can be sure your gifts will make a difference. If you or your church would like more information about supporting the MSU Wesley Foundation you can send an e-mail to drew@msuwesleyfoundation.org or write to us at UPO 1342 in Morehead, KY 40351. If you want to become a partner immediately, simply drop your tax-deductible gift in the mail to us and know that you are impacting our campus for Christ.
What a blessing it can be to build disciples through our giving. Won't you consider joining me in supporting this vital ministry on Morehead's campus? You will be blessed and so will many students for years to come.
